Dwight Yearwood

Mr. Dwight Yearwood love for running was the motivating factor in his competing in the 1987 Trinidad and Tobago Marathon.  Despite his disability (Cerebral Palsy) his strength in both mind and body enabled him to complete the 26.2 miles.

Mr. Yearwood has entered into thirty (30) marathons and has finished twenty nine (29). Unfortunately he suffered a lower back injury after having completed twenty-three (23) miles in his thirtieth marathon in 2006. He has since focused on the half marathon and long distance running (track).

Mr. Yearwood has been honoured by the Ministry of Social Development for his outstanding marathon career.
